Nothing can be as annoying as those eyeshadow fallouts!! Doing your makeup neatly is as important as choosing the right products, color combination, and techniques. Especially if you are choosing a bold eye makeup look, you definitely need to pay special attention to making it neat and clean. Here are some simple tips that work really well for me and I personally use every time.
- USE PRIMER
I can’t stress enough on how important it is to use an eyeshadow primer. This not only helps the shadow last longer but also helps the product adhere better hence minimizing fallouts.
- LOOSE POWDER
It’s definitely a good idea to start bringing loose powder to practice. Placing some loose powder in the under eye area can prevent eyeshadow fallouts from sticking to the skin and once done, you can dust it off lightly with a brush. This is actually my favorite technique and acts as a savior when you are doing a bold smokey eye makeup. In the video linked, you can see me bring this step to practice.
To start with, you can use baby powder and once you have developed good practice and like the results, you can switch to a drugstore or high-end product.
- EYESHADOW FIRST, FOUNDATION LATER
If you are intimidated by that loose powder all over your face, you can go in for this step. After having done your eye makeup, wipe off the under eye are with makeup remover wipes to get rid of eyeshadow fallouts and then proceed with your face makeup routine.
- USE CLEAN BRUSHES
Make sure to clean your brushes as soon as they have a considerable amount of eyeshadow deposits, to prevent any interference with the eyeshadow being applied. Often times, when using a light eyeshadow, the dark eyeshadow on the brush can interfere and cause a messy patchy look.
- COMPACT FOR CORRECTION
At the very end, if you still feel the under eye needs some more cleanliness, run a powder brush over your favorite compact and lightly brush the under eye area.
