Being home during a pandemic can surely have a lot of anxiety creeping in, and needless to say, such sensitive times require all of us to be responsible. As much as it’s important to be mindful for our surroundings and the situation the world is juggling with, so it is to keep a good check at our mental health. On a lighter note, keeping the flame of positivity on, lets look at how we can make this time not only enjoyable, but also productive!
#1 Work on your brows!
Did you ever consider letting your brows grow fully so that you could start afresh and have them shaped and defined as per the trend or simply let them have a new life from all the over-plucking and misalignment torture they have been through?! I have surely contemplated a number of times! Well guess what, now is the time! Don’t pluck, don’t thread or trim, let your brows live their wildest dream and turn into a fully grown bush before you re-style them into the brows of your dreams! silly, but worth a try!
#2 Feed your Mind!
Make sure to do anything that helps enrich and condition your mind on a daily basis. This could include taking up an online course (there are so many apps that teach whatever skill you ever wanted to try your hands on!), or you could read, or whatever it is that matches your vibe. I have subscribed to audible that helps me listen to audiobooks while I am doing household chores.
#3 Deep Clean
Cleaning can be so relaxing! Start with a cabinet or a drawer or a cupboard if jumping straight to a room or kitchen seems intimidating. Try changing the organization setup or play around with organizers. The more you clean your space the better you’ll feel from within.
#4 Indulge in some ME time!
This one is my favorite! One can never have enough of me time! Just incase you see ‘me time’ as time-waste, you are definitely missing on something so beautiful and enriching! If you aren’t sure, the idea is to set aside time to do the things you enjoy the most! Something that makes you lose track of time. It could be something as simple as sitting by yourself with some coffee in your favorite cozy corner and staring into nothingness… for rational nerds, it’s scientifically proven:
Taking a little time for yourself refreshes and re-energizes you. It allows you to think more clearly and make better decisions…
I can’t stress enough on how beautiful and relaxing it is to pen down your thoughts, ideas, emotions… If you have been into it, superb! you know what I’m talking about; if you haven’t, you could start with something as simple as a Gratitude Journal, where you list 1-5 things you are grateful for each day… or you could exercise some creativity and try making a bulletin journal, get some inspiration from Pinterest!
With that being said, I would love to hear how you have been keeping up with social distancing and what cheers you up while at home? Let me know in the comments section below ♥
