Drugstore products will always be my favorite!! I have a close relationship with Maybelline, for it was the first brand I started using when I had put my initial steps in the beauty world. It’s affordability and good quality never seizes to impress me! I got my hands on the new CITY KITS face and cheek palette in URBAN LIGHT, have been using it for a week now and here is what I think!
Nothing can be as annoying as those eyeshadow fallouts!! Doing your makeup neatly is as important as choosing the right products, color combination, and techniques. Especially if you are choosing a bold eye makeup look, you definitely need to pay special attention to making it neat and clean. Here are some simple tips that work really well for me and I personally use every time.
I am so obsessed with eyeshadows these days! Eyeshadow palettes never seize to mesmerize me and how badly I wish to grab every good palette I come across. Not only pressed eyeshadows, but even liquid and cream ones. When I first got a chance to try liquid eyeshadows, I knew they are going to be super useful and handy for the fact, they are quick and easy to apply and last much longer than usual eyeshadows.
A good wedding or party makeup is largely dependent on how you do your eyes. Eye makeup surely plays a very important role in stepping up your overall look so it’s a good idea to practice doing your makeup before a special event, that will also give you a better idea as to what shades work best for you. Back in 2013 when I was getting married and decided to do my own engagement makeup, I used to practice and play around with different shades and textures almost every day and that surely helped me figure out what would look the best.
Disclosure: This post is in collaboration with Profusion Cosmetics, The products were sent to me by the brand, but my thoughts on them are absolutely genuine and true.
It always thrills me when drugstore brands come up with new and exciting launches. Not all of us (including me!) want to splurge on high-end makeup every time… this is when a good drugstore product comes into the picture. In 2017 Holiday season, Profusion launched a variety of new and exciting products and I was one of the lucky ones to receive them!! Since the past couple of months I have been playing around with a lot of their products and the overall experience has been quite pleasant.
Oh Wait! just if you are wondering where to find all of their products; they are now readily available at your local Target store and coming up with some irresistible spring collection… Stay tuned! 😀
I got my hand on the new Colourpop eyeshadow palette ‘Golden State of Mind’ a few week back. I was on a routine stroll to Sephora when I saw Colour pop sitting there!!… My current favorite brand at Sephora!! what a delight it was… I spent one good hour browsing through each and every item from their holiday collection and decided to bring home this beauty. The fun fact is, I had very limited metallic eyeshadows and this palette just seemed right to fill the void. There are so many looks I can think of using this, to start with here is a softy cut crease look for the upcoming holiday season. The shadow pigmentation is really good. It works best with fingers, I tried making it work with MAC Fix+ and a flat eyeshadow brush, but it’s way better with fingers alone.
*Disclaimer: These lashes were sent to me by the brand. The review is totally genuine.*
A few weeks back I got a pair of Ariana Lashes and I wore them in one of the makeup looks that I posted on my Instagram which got so much love! I still need to post the tutorial of the look, which is expected to be live this week, apart from that, the lashes too got a lot of attention. I have been wanting to share these with you eagerly as they are so irresistible!
We are not very far from the onset of wedding season. I am so thrilled to share with you all some really useful makeup looks. I love opting blingy looks when I am going out to attend weddings, I just feel that’s the best time to bring those glitters in action.
The festive season is almost on and this inspires me to get out of my neutral makeup comfort zone and try on some bling. Here is a look comprising of soft smoked out eye makeup with some loose glitter. In the tutorial, I will also be showing you how to apply loose glitter particles so that they stay for longer. This look can be perfect for weddings too and would work well across skin tones.
A classic black smokey eye makeup marked the onset of the trend. Even today it’s the much raved about look. It might look complex and difficult to achieve, but trust me, it is really simple and can be mastered by anyone. Just a little practice is all you shall need. The tutorial below will help you get hold of the right steps.
