Short Or Long, hair management is such a task! And this task can be made easy and peppy with these 8 must have hair accessories.
For most of us, summers are not a very happy time for our skin. The heat and the humidity cause breakouts and sometimes even skin irritation. Here are a few products that I like to keep handy for my summer skin care routine. These work really well for my combination skin.
1. Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water
Micellar Water is my favourite skin care product ever since I have got my hands on it. It is a superb skin cleanser, which not only removes makeup completely but also takes away all the dirt and oil, and at the same time moisturizes the skin. I like to use it in various ways, as a makeup remover, during bed time if I am feeling lazy to perform the ideal skin cleansing routine, as soon as I wake up in the morning… to get rid of any oil on my face and also after a session at the gym. All you need to do is, pour some micellar water over a cotton ball and apply it all over your face to wipe off any dirt and oil. No need to rinse or apply moisturizer afterwords.
2. Aloe Vera Gel
Aloe Vera gel is a wonder product, I like to use it as a moisturizer on a daily basis. It helps fight acne and works wonders on a sun burn. It leaves the skin hydrated without making it sticky or oily. If you have dry skin, you can apply moisturizer over aloe vera gel or maybe mix them together.
3. Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Sunscreen
A sunscreen is a must! I like to use the neutrogena ultra sheer Dry Touch sunscreen which has SPF 45 and feels really comfortable on the skin. Also, this works really well under makeup as well. Make sure to wear a sunscreen every time you step out during the day. Your skin will thank you for it!
4. Mud Masks
I like to use mud masks during summers, They help absorb excess oil and leaves the skin matte and fresh. Also these are great if you suffer from acne issues. I like to use these once or twice a week. My current favourites are Global Beauty Care Charcoal & Dead Sea mud masks.
Exploring makeup brands is one of my favorite thing! e.l.f cosmetics caught my eye recently and I was compelled to give it a try. The products look quite good and they seem to cover almost everything in a price range that your wallet would never mind. I enjoyed my mini makeup haul from elf cosmetics and would love to share it with you all. The products are still under observation, so the reviews will follow soon enough. Meanwhile you can enjoy the ride through my elf cosmetics haul!
e.l.f Tinted Moisturizer
I was running out of a tinted moisturizer and this was a good chance to pick a new one. I picked the shade named ivory, it’s an exact match to my skin tone.
e.l.f Gel & Powder Eyebrow Kit
I have been quite particular about my eyebrow routine ever since bold brows trend flooded in. Though I am still in love with my all time favourite Maybelline Fashion Brow Pencil, trying something new is always fun!
e.l.f Velvet Matte Lipstick
How can one not pick a peppy bright lipstick to officially welcome spring!!?? I just had to follow the ritual and loved my new pick Flirty Flamingo which is a perfect blend of red pink and coral.
I hope you guys enjoyed my mini makeup haul from elf cosmetics as much as I did 🙂 Stay tuned for the reviews 🙂
I am not massively into high end beauty products, but would love to have some more of these added to my vanity. I have created a little wishlist of mine that I would like to share with you all.
What attract me most to these gorgeous high end products, of course apart form the luxurious texture and self indulgence feel, is the super luxe packaging that one cannot take eyes off..
AERIN ROSE BODY SCRUB & HAND AND BODY CREAM
I love rose scented products, specially hand and body moisturizers. Aerin has recently come up with some new body care products out of which the rose body scrub and the hand and body moisturizer seemed quite tempting to me.
ESTEE LAUDER LIPSTICKS
Estee Lauder has introduced in some extremely gorgeous new shades, there are multiple for every skin tone. I would love to pick a couple of them in my next shopping spree, as of now they are nicely placed in my wishlist.
NARS PURE RADIANT TINTED MOISTURIZER
The pure radiant tinted moisturizer is everybody’s favorite, I have heard lots of good things about this product and would love to give it a try. The best part is that it comes in a wide variety of shades which is difficult to find when it comes to tinted moisturizer.
GIVENCHY LIMITED EDITION MEMOIRE DE FORME HIGHLIGHTER
Here is another newbie in the market. This highlighter is a face and body get highlighter, feels extremely light and gives a radiant healthy glow. It a water based get (contains 72% water), no doubt it feels so light and comfortable.

It is so exciting to know beauty bloggers around, I came across this wonderful person Nisha and loved her blogs, Interviewing here was so much fun!!
High On Gloss has really exciting articles for your beauty read. It’s always nice to scroll by her well written and extremely useful blogs on beauty tips, product reviews, swatches and a lot more 🙂
Let’s head further and know Nisha from High On Gloss better.
How old is your blog and what gave it a kick start?
High On Gloss (HOG) is just a five months old blog. I care for it as my second baby. Few months back, one night when I was just sitting and chit chatting with my siblings, it just clicked that I must have my own blog. I straight away did some technical research and my blog was up within few hours. I am quite impulsive by nature.
When I started getting positive response from lovely readers & appreciation from fellow bloggers, within 2 months, I knew I can take it far ahead with all the passion that I have inside me for Beauty Blogging.
What is your next blog milestone to be achieved in 2017?
I am taking baby steps with HOG while nurturing it. My main focus is on producing quality content and creating a trustworthy database of product reviews so that people trust HOG for their beauty emergencies.
Who is your makeup inspiration?
Being a beauty blogger, I don’t know if it’s okay to say that I do not religiously follow any makeup artist or beauty blogger. I think every body has their own style and they are fabulous in their own way. Whenever I put makeup on, I try to create my own looks, to suit my mood.
Which is your favorite makeup brand and why?
I am never loyal to a specific brand, I always keep on switching since I easily get bored of using the same products be it skincare or makeup. I admire MAC lipsticks, Lakme blushes, Maybelline foundations & Makeup Revolution/Naked eye palettes. Maybelline wins the race since it is so versatile with it’s product range, that too at reasonable price.
What are the top 3 products you can’t live without?
Face wash, moisturizer & lip balm.
Nude or Bold lippers?
Which is your most opted look, dramatic or understated ?
Favorite skin care product?
Drug store or high end makeup products?
Drug Store makeup products.
What’s in your travel beauty bag?
Face wash, oil free moisturizer, wet wipes, mascara, eyeliner, BB/CC cream, concealer, a nude eyeshadow palette, few lipsticks & a handy mirror. I know it sounds like everything, but whenever I leave something back at home, I feel like I should have brought it with me.
I am sure it was a delight getting to know about Nisha 🙂 Do visit High On Gloss 🙂
New York being the home town of Maybelline has a huge… like HHUUGGEE.. range of products to offer.. unfortunately in India we get a limited access to their products. I am sure I would visit their counter very often than any other place during my stay in the city.
I was astounded when I first saw their gigantic collection.. I so wanted to have it all at once!
Letting the self control take over, I chose the much raved about pore eraser cream (have been longing for this since the longest time) and one of their new born baby, the color sensational creamy matte nudes lipstick in the shade Almond Rose.
Almond Rose is such a pretty shade, I knew, I wanted it as soon as I saw the name and the swatch sticker…. Even without swatching it on the back of my hand and taking a closer look at the shade, I knew it was coming home with me.
The pore eraser cream on the other hand is one of the highly effective and affordable makeup primer.
The detailed review of the products would follow very soon once I am done analyzing them.
A blog after almost 2 months!! How much I missed blogging!! Last few weeks have been a roller coaster ride, both professional and personal front consumed me totally and I just couldn’t take out time to blog… but now I am back and you shall see my blogs more often 🙂
One of the most prominent trait of a Capricorn (that’s me!) is, the love to organize things… In this blog, I shall be sharing my jewellery organization tips.
Both real and imitation jewellery require care and maintenance for a healthy long life. I make sure to store my jewellery in dust free, moisture free and tangle free space. This not only keeps their polish intact but also keeps them safe.
You get ready organizers in the market, if you don’t find one, zip locks and pouches can be of great use. I keep my trinklets in these clear zip pouches which together go in a one big clear pouch. The clear pouches help me locate my ornaments easily and if I am travelling, I carry along only the specific pouch.
All of this zips in a compact case that doesn’t take much space and looks neat and sorted.
