I can’t believe we are already in the very last month of the year! November passed by quickly and was indeed so eventful. It’s time to share my beauty favorites.
Some things remain simply favorite. I have absolutely loved using the below listed 4 products, don’t think would get bored even after finishing them off various times. I absolutely can’t afford to have even one of them missing from my vanity. They ought to be stocked up much before reaching the finishing line.
Maybelline Eye Studio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner – Black
Number of times purchased: 2
Price: INR 499/-
BUY HERE for INR 338/-
This is the second time I have got my hands on this super pigmented, long lasting gel eyeliner. I first bought this when it was launched, which was I think in 2011 or maybe 2012. Since then, I have never EVER got tempted by any other gel eyeliner. This one is my all time favorite. Be it office, outings, parties or weddings, this is the only eyeliner I trust in terms of pigmentation. It also comes with brush that makes the application very easy.
Another great thing about this product is that it can be used in various ways, as a base on the lid while doing smoky eye look or a smoked out liner look or even a sharp thin/ medium/ thick liner.
The product lasts for really long time. Infact one tub lasted me for about 2, 2.5 years! So it’s quite cost effective that way.
Maybelline Warm me up lipstick
Number of times purchased: 2
Price: INR 425/-
Maybelline is great when it comes to price and quality. This was my very first lipstick! I guess it was in 2011 or 2012 when I started wearing lipstick and this was my very first purchase. It’s such a pretty pink with a hint of beige, looks almost natural and stays on for a very long time. I love wearing it!
You can see me wearing it HERE.
Maybelline Clean Express Total Clean Makeup Remover
Number of times purchased: 3
Price: INR 300/-
This remover is amazing when it comes to removing tough eyeliner or mascara. It even works amazingly well in cleaning off waterproof makeup, matte lipsticks. I use it every now and then to clean my makeup brushes, specially the gel eyeliner brush and it cleans effortlessly!
Lakme eyeconic kajal – Brown
Number of times purchased: 3
Price: INR 275/-
This has to go with me everywhere! I use it in various ways… sometimes as an eyeliner, sometimes to line my lower lash line, or even as a base on the lids when I am planning to do a smokey eye look and sometimes even to fill in my brows!
I absolutely love using it on my lower lash line. There are some days when only a liner on the upper lid gives a very washed out look and putting a kohl on the lower lash line would mean adding unwanted drama, for those times, softly lining the outer 1/4th of the lower lash line with a brown pencil does the needful, this is how I often wear this brown kajal.
Have you tried these products before? Let me know your favorites too :)

2015 Winter Makeup Favourites
For me winters are too cold to look pretty! This is when my dressing-up-mode gets switched OFF. My hands feel too cold to be patient with the art work on my face… Also, I feel my skin aching to be left alone. My vanity goes on a semi-hibernation and is bought into use only during wedding or parties. Some of my winter makeup essentials are:
1. Maybelline “The Colossal” Liner
It is all I need on my eyes throughout winters. It lasts about 8 hours after which it starts to smudge and loose its intense sharp look. It is absolutely quick and easy to apply letting your hands rush back to those warm gloves!
2. Nivea – Fruit Shine Cherry
A cherry tone and flavour lip balm adds instant brightness to the face and provides the required moisture to refrain your lips from chapping. The colour tint does not last long enough, It stays for about an hour or two. It requires touch-up 2-3 times a day!
3. Nivea Soft Creme
It’s a water based moisturiser and works best for me. It doesn’t feel heavy in the face like other cold creams do. Its absolutely non-sticky. I apply this twice on my face one in the morning, immediately after a bath. And once at night after a refreshing face wash.
This was all about my winter time favourites. You too can put in your thoughts in the comments section below 🙂
Hello Dear Readers!
January is a special month of the year for me! Apart from it being my Birthday month, it’s also a month that marked an onset to this website of mine!
I do not remember the exact date, but it was January 2015 for sure that took my hobby to a next level, and all thanks to the inspiration, motivation, freedom and push given to me by my husband!
I discovered this colorful world when I was in my college 3rd year, before that, in school I was more of a Tom-boy and in college 1st and 2nd year I was going though the transition phase of a Tom-Boy turned Girlie! 😀 But again even during the college 3rd and 4th year my vanity case comprises of only colorful eyeliners and nail polishes! That was all, that fascinated me! It was mainly after I got engaged in April 2013 that this fascination took a steep turn and I started exploring my hand on makeup! And since then life has been colorful 😀
