I do notice my toe nails getting infected during monsoons inspite of all the hygiene and wearing right shoes. Looks like my toe nails detest monsoons… but I have found an effective home remidy. If you too suffer from any sort of nail infection, tea tree oil is the answer! I like to apply it twice a day on clean and dry nail and see it curing within days.

I used it as a face wash and my skin was free from oil throughout the day. My skin was soft and shining. I didn’t felt the need of applying any cream after using this. I also used it as a post waxing lotion. After waxing, I took small amount and rubbed gently over my arms. My arms were glossy and shining. I felt like I had got body polishing done too, but it was all the effect of this gel cleanser.
Overall, I liked this product and it gave me positive results. So, it is my lifetime monsoon saviour from now on. I would suggest you to buy it once and get to know the results yourself.
Price: Rs. 190 for 100 ml and Rs. 250 for 250 ml.
Shelf life: 2 years.
Available: You can buy this from Aura Vedic website (www.auravedic.com/).

I find essential oils are answer to all my problems related to skin & hair specially during monsoon. I mostly ditch day and night creams during monsoons. I just rely on skin savior essential oils such as Tea Tree Oil, Rosemary Oil & Jojoba Oil which work great for my oily, acne prone & sensitive skin to keep it acne free, balance oil and maintain moisture level in the skin.
For my itchy scalp Tea Tree oil & Rosemary oil work the best while the Jojoba oil & Grapeseed oil work efficiently to control frizz.Try out the magic of essential oils by yourself and most of the monsoon skin and hair problems will be poof-ed away.

As the weather changes, my skin texture changes, my hair goes crazy and most importantly I find that my eyes need extra care. Castor oil is my go-to product for the monsoon season. From dealing with dry and frizzy hair, to helping reduce itchy eyes, castor oil is all I need. The only tip I would suggest is that you ensure that you buy a good brand of castor oil so that it doesn’t affect your skin or hair.

Only season when I use waterproof mascara is during Monsoons !! So my top recommendation is to go for waterproof makeup especially eye makeup during this rainy season.Currently I am loving and using this waterproof mascara by Maybelline New York i.e The Falsies Push up Drama Mascara. It adds good volume and length to my lashes in just two coats . Formula is jet black in color and 100% waterproof. So even if you are caught in rains, this mascara will not ditch you. Make this gorgeous metallic fuchsia red tube of mascara your companion these monsoons.

I am from Bangalore and the climate is quite unpredictable in this city. With the onset of monsoon, I have been suffering from above average hair fall. As my hair is coloured, I had issues with dryness and frizziness as well.

I came across BBLUNT Climate Control, Anti-Frizz Leave-In Cream and decided to give it a shot.  I have used this product for over a month to this date to ascertain pros and cons fairly.

For my coloured hair, I have been using my regular shampoo and conditioner for coloured hair. However, the efficacy falls flat on chilly or rainy days.

I have been facing frizziness even after using conditioner. These days, I apply the BBLUNT product after a hair wash on towel dried hair. This softens my hair and controls frizziness. Though not being a miracle product, my hair fall is controlled now.

The result is right here in the image below.

Does your skin and hair have a mind of its own? Do you feel like it can’t decide whether to make your day fun or ruin it? Mine does it almost all year long, but more so during the monsoons. Come monsoon my hair becomes frizzy and almost looks like it is charged with static electricity; and my skin jumps between dry and itchy.

While I resort for easy to use readily available products most of the time, I do love pampering myself with some nice fresh homemade masks. One of my favourite masks uses 4 simple ingredients –

Honey – 2 teaspoons

Coconut oil – 2 teaspoons

Olive oil – 1 teaspoon

Avocado – 1 ripe

To make the mask take one ripe avocado and mash it; to this add coconut oil, olive oil and honey. Mix well till there are no clumps. You can use this mask on your hair or body. On your hair you can leave it for an hour and then wash it off with a sulphate free shampoo. On your body use this almost like a scrub rubbing it in your skin and wash off. If you wish to use this on your face I was suggest omitting coconut and oil olive and adding a few drops of Tea Tree Oil to prevent breakouts. This is a deep nourishing mask that makes both your skin and hair look healthy.
