Innisfree Hand Cream | Review

Innisfree Hand Cream

Hand Creams are an integral part of my daily routine. Dry hands dread me! The presence of a good hand cream in my bag gives me an immense sense of solace. The addition to my hand cream family is the “Innisfree Jeju rose hand cream”.

I really like rose fragrance and always look forward to try out rose scented products. Innisfree hand creams come in a variety of fragrances, you can surely find your favorite in the range.

innisfree hand cream

Innisfree is a Korean brand. It claims to be a natural brand that shares the benefits of nature from the pristine island of Jeju allowing for vibrant beauty and pursues an eco-friendly green life to preserve the balance of nature.

Innisfree Hand Cream

Here is the review for you all.

Packaging

The packaging structure is quite similar to the Body Shop Hand Cream (reviewed here) tube. Very convenient for use and travel friendly. The easily squeezable tube ensures good control over the product quantity. The screw cap ensures NO accidental spillage in your hand bag!

Package Quantity

30mL

Price

INR 300/-

Consistency and Texture

The cream consistency is slightly on the thicker side (unlike the body shop hand cream which is quite gel like, watery and of a lesser density).

The thick creamy consistency doesn’t feel sticky or heavy on application neither light or feathery. It’s non sticky, non greasy texture gives just the required amount of moisturisation which lasts for about 5-6 hours.

One big drawback I faced was, if you rub it on your hands continuously for a minute, you will notice dry powdery substance shedding off.. It’s like as if your hands are raining dandruff 🙁 And that happens every time!

Innisfree Hand Cream

Fragrance

The best part of the product! the reason why I actually bought it, was this beautiful rose fragrance. The scent isn’t too deep and intense, rather it’s more on the softer side and lingers on for a good amount of time.

Availability

I bought this from the Innsifree outlet in DLF Mall of India, Noida

Rating

Umm.. I guess 3.5/5 should be apt.

Why it couldn’t make 5/5?

1. Rs. 300/- for 30mL product is expensive.

2. The cream on application, does provide adequate moisturisation but it doesn’t aid in making the hands feel softer (body shop hand cream performs better in this case).

3. The white-powdery stuff that starts to shed off if you rub it on your hands continuously for a while is REALLY annoying.

Hope you found this useful, you can let me know your thoughts in the comment section below.

Broken lipsticks back to life!

Broken lipsticks

A broken lipstick is as painful as a broken heart! Some of our lipsticks are simply abandoned once broken or distorted! I surely couldn’t bear the separation, hence I decided to fix them. Using these 2 techniques I could restore life in my dead broken lipsticks and so can you! So let’s get started.

Steps to fix broken lipsticks

Step – 1

Use a candle to melt the base of the broken lipstick portion. Make sure you keep a very light hand in doing so, we just need a layer of melted lipstick to act as a glue so that it can stick on to the other portion.

Step – 2

While the base is still melted, quickly place it over the other portion. Let it cool for 10 – 15 minutes and you have your lipstick fixed 😀

Soft Bronze Smoky Eyes

Soft Bronze Smoky Eyes

Bronze can be a very interesting option when choosing a smoky eye effect. It gives the required drama without being exaggerated. Also one thing to be kept in mind is, a smoky eye is paired best with a soft pastel lip shade, can be glossy, matte or creamy. In this look, I have paired soft bronze smoky eyes with a creamy nude brown lip shade.

Soft Bronze Smoky Eyes

For the eyes I have used the quad from ‘The Nudes Palette’ from Maybelline, reviewed here.

For the face, As usual uses a sheer coverage for a more natural look. I absolutely detest a veneer of foundation or compact, the reason for which I use it is to give a finish and control oil or shine on my face, absolutely NOT to redefine my complexion.

For the lips I used a shade created and invented my ME 😀 (I mixed all the leftovers and got this beautiful shade), but I can help you find a dupe of it, its Maybelline (yes maybelline again! I am such a Maybelline Lover! I hope they notice this and start sending me free makeup 😛) Totally Toffee Lipstick, you can use it for a very similar look.

Quick Summer Makeup

summer makeup

Summers are my absolute favourite for the fact that all the colours are at my disposal and I have the power to use them in anyway! Here is a quick summer makeup which is quite colourful and gives a fresh bright look.

summer makeup

Coloured eye-liners have always been my obsession. They instantly add  an exciting twist to your makeup. The eyeliner I am wearing here is Maybelline Colossal Kajal in the shade Crushed Emerald. Though the colour is attractive and beautiful, but the fact that the product smudges after a few hours and doesn’t retain the sharp neat look, disappoints me. Otherwise it can be happily worn for a few (4-5) hours.

One of the base I often use for summers is the Loreal Liquid Powder which is reviewed here. I really like it for summers for its all-day-shine-free look.

The lip colour is from one of my favourite range, the Lakme Gloss Addict Lipstick in the shade Coral Lustre, reviewed here. This range is all about sheer translucent shades which work so well during summers (well, even winters!). You must have one of the shade from this range. It’s a must have!

A detailed list of products used in this look are listed below.
